Ambassador Tim Celen shines in Sporza report
Recently, we proudly presented our brand-new ambassador Tim Celen. For our paralympian, 2024 is a key year and this has not escaped Belgian sports channel ‘Sporza’. In a fascinating reportage, Digital Creative Bavo Mortier and former cyclist Bert De Backer go cycling with Tim and get to know a very special Eddy Merckx 525.
Now that the Paris Olympics are over, we are eagerly looking forward to the Paralympics. After all, Tim Celen is dreaming of medals of honour there and has done everything he can to shine in the city of lights. On his way to the French capital, he gets a lot of support from cycling-loving Flanders. The programme ‘Bert and Bavo go Olympic’ also devotes an episode to our hero.

In the extensive Sporza report, the company heads to Brustem airbase where they have all the space they need to get to know Tim's Eddy Merckx 525. This is also necessary, as the tricycle was specially built by our mechanic Karel Lenaers and rides differently from any other bike. The cornering is particularly impressive: the riders have to provide counterweight themselves. Moreover, Tim only uses his left brake, which makes the whole experience extra fascinating.
